Conceptual shading is just a visual aid to help you visualize the form of your 3D model. Adding materials and rendering the model are separate processes and can be done independently of one another. Once materials have been added to the model, it can still be rendered with those materials applied. The 3D Orbit tool can also still be used to navigate and view the model from different angles.
