While special education teachers may be more likely to conduct FBAs (Functional Behavior Assessments), they are not the only teachers required to do so. All educators may need to participate in FBAs if a student is exhibiting challenging or disruptive behaviors that are impacting their education. The purpose of an FBA is to identify the function or purpose of the behavior, and develop a behavior plan to address it.
