In this question we are asked to define evolution and explain the three things in nature that make this process unavoidable.
Much of what makes biology so intriguing is the interconnectedness of life, and that is a result of evolution - as all organisms developed from common ancestors, we share genetic similarities born from this commonality but shaped by the environment. The pressures of the environment make certain traits advantageous, and thus organisms possessing those traits reproduce.
Evolution is the process by which populations of organisms change over time based on the pressures present in their environments. The three processes that drive evolution are the random and natural occurrence of genetic mutations, the passage of these mutations to offspring through some sort of reproduction, and then interplay of the outcomes of these mutations when they meet the environment - natural selection.
