DNA represents blueprint of the genetic composition of an organism. Genome sequencing has emerged as important tool for rectifying abnormalities going inside an organism body. Every organism is composed of same chemical molecule, DNA having specific arrangement of nitrogenous bases. Human genome is made up of 3 billion nucleotides having almost 25 genes.Genome sequencing helps researchers in determining genes that may lead to a diseased condition and dispose a person to certain disease condition. By knowing genetic profile of a person's health history can be determined with the probabilities of diseases that may uncover. Genome sequencing can clue about mutation in the gene present in a person.Some mutations are guaranteed to be inherited by children's like microcephaly that is rare recessive genetic disorder. Two mutated gene are required to microcephaly to occur one from each parent. This caused by deletion mutation in gene called WDR62. Point mutation in gene for beta-globin causes sickle cell anaemia while similar mutation in gene BRCA1 makes a person more prone to breast cancer.Thus we can say sequencing of human genome can help in finding new and better tool for treating disorders. It helps scientist to find genes that are prone to mutation and may cause disease in future. It will certainly help researchers to studies particular gene function and pathways that lead to disease. Hence genome sequencing can give all information about a person genetic makeup.
