Compare inductive and deductive reasoning.
التوضيح
First, inductive reasoning a process of reasoning where a general statement is extraploted from a sequence of observations while deductive reasoning is a process of reasoning where a general statement is derived from the observations which gives rise to a general principle.
The difference is that inductive reasoning gives rise to reasoning that supports the conclusion but does not necessarily ensure it. Deductive reasoning on the other hand, applies to general principles in order to reach a specific conclusion. Therefore sometimes a false premise can lead to a possibility of a false result.
