Rissi obtained the tools through a global anthropology dealer in a large city and gave them to Dr. Stoler. He then asked Dr. Stoler for a tuition voucher for the spring semester. Dr. Stoler refused Rissi the voucher, claiming that he (Stoler) was joking. Rissi sued in Small Claims Court.
