Rosa Parks was a civil rights icon who became famous in 1955 when she refused to give up her bus seat for a white passenger. This act prompted Martin Luther King's legendary bus boycott. In 1998 the rap group Outkast released an album whose first single was a profanity-laced song titled "Rosa Parks." A transcript of the rap lyrics suggests that the song has nothing to do with Rosa Parks but is a self-congratulatory anthem to Outkast's stardom. Parks claimed that since the song had nothing to do with her, her name was used only to exploit her celebrity to sell records. Thus, the song was an unauthorized, commercial appropriation of her name that tarnished her legacy and violated her right to privacy. Explain why this claim is or is not correct.
