Duncan made a will that divided her property among her five children. It stated that if her son died before her, his share should go to his wife. She also made a separate agreement with the children that she would not change the will in exchange for their promise that they would not challenge it or make any claim against the estate. The son died three months after that. Later, Duncan gave two of her children powers of attorney, and they conveyed all of the real property to the surviving children. Duncan then revoked the will and made a new one, leaving her property to her children but not to her son's wife. The son's wife sued. Did the agreement not to revoke the will lack consideration? Why?
