The Affordable Care Act, the 2010 health reform law, made it a priority to reduce the number of uninsured. At what point, if any, should the government step in to provide individuals with assistance to purchase insurance coverage? Do you think such assistance should be a federal or state responsibility?
التوضيح
The Affordable Care Act, 2010:
According to The Affordable Care Act, the government tries to achieve success in the reducing the number of insured. This can be done only by creating awareness and announcing that the person who does not insure his life has to pay hefty fine.
The interference of the government with regard to the uninsured:
It is found that the interference of the government of Country U with regard to the number of the uninsured is low when compared to other countries.
According to the plan of the congress, if the people do not insure their life and if they remain uninsured, the government has to interfere in the matter. The government of Country U has to assist the people by providing education on the importance of life insurance.
Determine if the importance of insurance coverage being informed to the public is a state or federal responsibility:
It is the duty of the state government to take care of the people of the particular state. In addition, the federal government's duty is to check if the state government is performing well. Both the government has to take steps in rectifying the mistakes behind an individual being uninsured.
Hence, the responsibility lies on both the state and federal government.
