In discussions of business and society, why is there a tendency to focus on large firms rather than small- or medium-sized firms? Have the corporate ethics scandals of the past decade affected small- and medium-sized firms? If so, in what ways have these firms been affected?
التوضيح
In the 2000's the Enron scandal and other companies have been in the news because of their ethical violations. These companies are well established and have high returns on investment.
Large corporations are targeted as their business runs with high profits, and makes institutions venerable to criticize when they act unethical. In contrast with the government that isn't seeking profits but is charged with acting in the public interest. Small or medium sized firms, have the advantages to be unseen in unethical cases because their market share is small.
Hence, large firms are focused rather than small or medium sized firms.
