Angel Castelan and Marvin Huezo are friends who enjoy visiting the Universal Studios theme park. They were each denied access to one of their favorite rides, The Mummy, because they did not satisfy the rider requirements in the manufacturer recommendations. In particular, Castelan was turned away because the requirements indicate that each rider must have at least "one functioning arm [and] hand. Huezo was denied access to the ride because the rider requirements state that each rider must have at least one leg that may be placed behind the shin pad. Castelan's forearms were amputed due to an electrical accident when he was a child. Huezo's legs were amputated after he was hit by a car during an attempt to assist another motorist. After being turned away from the Mummy on a couple of occasions, Castelan and Huezo filed a lawsuit under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act for failure to design a ride that does not require rider eligibility criteria that excludes patrons with disabilities. Will their claim succeed?
