Bridges was abducted from work at gunpoint by her estranged husband. He took her to their former apartment, where he forced her to disrobe in order to prevent her escape. On hearing a gunshot, the police stormed the apartment, rescued Bridges, who was clad only in a dishtowel, and escorted her to a police car. Cape Publications published a picture of her rescue. The picture revealed little more than could be seen had she been wearing a bikini. Other, more revealing photographs were not used. Bridges sued the paper for invasion of privacy. Did the publication invade her privacy?
