Mackay claimed he accepted and told Four Rivers he might not retire for ten years. Three years later, Four Rivers terminated Mackay's employment. Mackay sued, claiming breach of employment contract. Four Rivers claimed the alleged oral contract was required by the Statute of Frauds to be in writing because it could not be completed in a year and therefore was unenforceable. Did the contract fall within the Statute of Frauds?
