Habitats and life zones are described by researchers based on the living and nonliving characteristics found there. We learned that patterns of environmental conditions such as rainfall and temperature play a major role in the distribution of life. Use Figure 1 as a starting point to help you catalog the characteristics of the habitat and life zone where you live.
Using the climograph in Figure 2 , characterize the range of average temperatures and rainfall found in your life zone. Using Figure 1 , if you were to travel straight north from your home, what life zones would you pass through on a direct line to the north pole?
