Ace Cleaning Company provides janitorial services to industrial clients. Most of Ace's work is done under ongoing contracts in which the same amount is billed each month. But one-time cleaning jobs are also undertaken, both for regular clients and for others; these are billed according to the number of labor hours expended on the particular job. Ace does not offer discounts for prompt payment (i.e., the terms for basic invoices are "net 30"), but it does impose a penalty of 1.5 percent per month on accounts more than 30 days overdue. The invoices must show the name of the crew leader.
