Mr. Wise is a 75-year-old , otherwise healthy male who was admitted to the hospital for a total right knee replacement. On postoperative day 2 , a ventricular arrhythmia was diagnosed. The cardiologist was consulted and prescribed Norpace 150 mg QID. On the fourth day postoperatively , Mr. Wise complains he cannot urinate and is ordered by the house physician to be catheterized.
