Hunger and appetite influence our desire to eat. They both differ in the way they influence.
Hunger is a biological response of a living being. When the body requires food, various mechanisms in different organs of the body trigger various responses that collectively result in a physical desire to eat.
Appetite is a natural desire to eat. It is a psychological response due to various external factors. For example, visually appealing foods can trigger the appetite though the body does not need food, metabolically.
Therefore, hunger is an instinctive mechanism of a body that creates desire to eat and functions normally, whereas appetite is a sensory reaction of a body in response to food.
