Chemtrex is an agricultural chemical producer. Process costing is used in its mixing department. At the beginning of July, Chemtrex had 700,000 gallons 70 percent complete in work in process. During July, it started another 4,000,000 gallons and produced 3,700,000 gallons. One million gallons of ending work in process were 60 percent complete at the end of July. Conversion costs are incurred uniformly over the mixing process.
