Your company, AET Manufacturing, finds itself in a tough position. The company needs to update its soft - ware and tracking systems to remain competitive in the industry. If the company updates the soft ware, employees will need extensive training in how to use it. However, because of its small size, the company would have to lay off three employees for the summer if it paid everyone for attending the eight-hour technology training session.
You have been given the task of informing employees of the technology upgrades and the necessity to come in for an eight-hour training session on a Saturday without pay. Think of ways to make this change sound as positive and appealing to employees as possible. Because you cannot afford to actually pay the employees for this training, think of how you might otherwise compensate them.
