"The Double Theft"
A woman customer in Macy's Department Store went to the restroom and put her purse on the floor beside her. The bathroom partitions were of the type that leave a gap between the wall and the floor, and a hand came through this gap and whipped her purse away. Before she could emerge, the thief had escaped, but she reported her loss to the store manager. She returned home. A few hours later, her phone rang. "This is Macy's; a purse has been found which may be yours; please come to the manager's office to identify it." But when she reached the store, there was no purse there, and none of the staff had phoned her. Returning home, she saw her own bunch of keys in the lock, and found her house burglarized and all her jewelry gone.
