Scenario: XYZ, Inc.
Jane is a manager at XYZ Inc., a manufacturing company. She is in direct supervision of several employees and has been experiencing a problem with employee lateness and safety violations. Jane believes that environmental events precede all behavior and employee reactions are based strictly on the consequences that are present for their actions.
After hosting several safety meetings for the staff, as well as retraining the employees in safety procedures, Jane still has one employee who blatantly disregards safety procedures. The employee's unsafe work practices are creating anger among some employees and certain others are questioning their need to comply now as well. Jane should:
