The data in the file TV.sav available on the publisher's website for this text at the address http://www.pearsonhighered.com/stern2e, shows the number of hours of TV watched per day reported by randomly selected adults aged 18-65 who were contacted by the National Opinion Research Center between 1993-1998.
1. Open the file TV.sav in SPSS.
2. Make a frequency distribution of the variable tvhrs.
3. In the viewer's contents pane, change the title of the Frequencies output to Frequency Distribution of the Number of Hours of TV Watched.
4. Move the frequency distribution table directly underneath the revised title.
5. Paste the title and the frequency distribution into a word-processing document.
