Make an appointment with a loan officer at your bank who handles small businesses. Conduct an interview to find out the following:
a. Will the bank lend to small businesses, using receivables for collateral
b. Does the bank ever factor receivables or act as a collection agent for receivables
c. Present the example of the air-conditioning company in the section Money as the Key Idea, of this chapter. Ask what help from the bank would be available in such a situation. Write a report of your findings.
