Members of the Jefferson County High School, Tennessee varsity football team circulated a petition that said: "I hate Coach Euvard [sic] and I don't want to play for him." Thereafter, all team members were asked if they were involved. Euverard dismissed four players who admitted they signed the petition and refused to apologize for doing so. The players who signed the petition but apologized were retained on the team. The four dismissed players filed suit. (a). Explain their primary legal claim. (b). Decide the case. Explain.
