Do research to determine which mineral resources go into the manufacture of each of the following items and how much of each of these resources are required to make each item: (a) a cell phone, (b) a wide-screen TV, and (c) a large pickup truck. Pick three of the lesserknown mineral materials that you have learned about in this exercise and do more research to find out where in the world most of that material comes from. For each of the three minerals you chose, try to find out what kinds of environmental effects have resulted from the mining of the mineral in at least one of the places where it is mined. You might also find out about steps that have been taken to deal with those effects. Write a report summarizing all of your findings.
