According to Clinton Korver, author of Ethics for the Real World, it is important for managers to take a rational approach to decision making. Korver believes that managers will make better decisions if they are better prepared, and have considered the notion of ethics in advance, and identified where they stand on issues. He feels that when managers are caught up in a situation, they may feel pressure to make decisions that they might not ordinarily make. When managers have mastered the art of making good decisions, they should make better decisions in a more stressful situation.
