Horizontal integration involves a company owning others that are in the same field - such as clothing companies really being owned by one company but seeming like separate entities. An example of horizontal integration is the Gap being owned by the same company as Old Navy and Banana Republic. In Pleasant Prairie,Wisconsin there is an outlet mall that contains each of these stores within what is considered a city block. Taco Bell is also owned by Yum! Brands,and they also own KFC and Pizza Hut.
