You have been a home care nurse working in several eastern coastal communities for five years. It is a job you love mostly because of the people you care for and the diversity within your everyday work. You are currently mentoring an undergraduate nursing student from an urban-based nursing program. The student has made it clear that it was not her choice to come to a rural area or to do home care. As a group:
a) Identify how you will address the student's issues in a productive manner.
b) Identify ways in which you can encourage the student to see the benefits of her practicum experience in rural communities.
