Childhood is the stage of mental and physical growth for every human being. This change is more significant and occurs rapidly. Hence, in such stage a child is highly influenced by his/her environment. The environment change will thereby differentiate the behavior and personality of children.
Microsystems:
Microsystems are the closely related groups that directly influence the behavior of children. It has a huge impact over the child's behavior through relationship of experienced with developing persons. For example: In family, school, and peer group there will be a sibling, senior, experienced colleague who shares know-how to the newly joined (developing).
Mesosystems:
The word "meso" means "intermediate". Mesosystem is the linkage of different groups in microsystem. For example: Peer group and family are two microsystems. The interrelation occurring between two or more developing person in a micro system is called as mesosystem.
Observed change in childhood:
Childhood is the very critical stage. In this stage, each components of environment will influence the behavior of child. Especially, children have more imitative behavior. Hence, the group of people who live with child is very important. Their influence will change the personality and behavior of children.
This behavioral influence starts from the family. Behavior of parents influences the kid's behavior in terms of thinking, speaking, reacting, and understanding.
Considering school life, it creates a new behavior affiliation that motivates an individual to set and attain appropriate career goal. This school life also created a new friendship band.
Peer group reduced loneliness and it helped to know value of different relationships. This also changed the pattern of behavior influenced by the family.
Despite of this important relationship groups, media and community takes a vital role in influencing childhood behaviors.
• Media influences through television shows, movies, and books. This brings forth new views and ideas in regard to lifestyle and behavior.
