Change:
Childhood is the stage of mental and physical growth for every human being. This change is more significant and occurs rapidly. Hence, in such stage a child is highly influenced by his/her environment. The environment change will thereby differentiate individual's behaviors of children.
Microsystems:
Microsystems are the closely related groups that directly influence the behavior of children. It has a huge impact over child behavior through relationship of experienced with developing persons. For example: In family, school, and peer group there will be a sibling, senior, experienced colleague who shares know-how to the newly joined (developing).
Mesosystems:
The word "meso" means "intermediate". Mesosystem is the linkage of different groups in microsystem. For example: Peer group and family are two microsystems. The interrelation occurring between two or more developing person in a micro system is called as mesosystem.
Behavioral changes in respect to micro-system:
Family, school, peers, community, and media are the major components of microsystem. Each of these microsystems changes the behavior in childhood.
Considering Mr. X's experience, family developed a specific behavior like nurturance, affection, and love. The school creates new knowledge and relative skills.
The peer group gave experience for independent thinking. The community influenced the code of behavior. The media influenced him to develop his way of thinking, attitude, and actions.
The reasons for occurrence of changes in childhood behavior:
Each stage human needs fluctuate based on necessity. In childhood it is tremendous as the child is highly a dependent. In turn he/she gets attached to each microsystem. The close relationship of each microsystem influences and derives new behavior among child. This occur based on heredity and influence of each micro system over the child.
Influence of each microsystem on the change of behavior of Mr. X:
Family was the basic component that developed a particular behavior in Mr. X. It was nurturance, affection, and love. After joining school, new life started for him. This helped to build new knowledge and relative skill set. The school life also created the peer group. This group gave the experience of independence.
It influenced him to take decision based on his own views. The community influenced Mr. X with code of behavior of a particular community. The entrance of media helped to view the whole world differently with television, books, and movies. It influenced him in terms of thinking, attitude, and actions. This further brought in new views in regard to lifestyle and behavior.
Impact of mesosystem in childhood behavior:
Commonly, the linkage of each microsystem influences ones actions and qualities of children.
For example:
• The family laid restriction on the child. The restriction was that the child should not have relationship with notorious groups.
• The censorship of media in the particular community where the child lives.
Therefore, mesosystems also has huge impact on child behavior.
