Working with a partner, underline the dependent-word fragment or fragments in each item. Then correct each fragment by attaching it to the sentence that comes before or the sentence that comes after it-whichever sounds more natural. Put a comma after the dependent-word group if it starts the sentence.
Canadian football is similar to football played in the United States. Although in Canada the field is 110 yards long. While in the United States, it is 100 yards long.
