Northland Ford Dealers sponsored a hole-in-one contest at the Moccasin Creek Country Club in South Dakota. The contest winner would receive a new Ford Explorer. Jennifer Harms registered for the contest. She stood at the women's marker for teeing off and hit a hole-in-one. She was denied her car because the dealers' insurance policy for the event indicated the following, "ALL AMATEUR MEN AND WOMEN SHALL UTILIZE THE SAME TEE." That tee was established in the policy as 170 yards. However, the men and women participating in the contest were not told of this rule or restriction.
