Bower was encouraged by an acquaintance, who was actually an informer, to sell cocaine to a government undercover agent. The agent then arrested Bower for the possession and sale of a drug. Bower claimed entrapment as a defense. During the trial, evidence was introduced to show conclusively that Bower was in the business of selling cocaine and that the sale to the undercover agent was not really induced by the agent but was actually just another opportunity that presented itself to Bower.
