Russ was hired by the Atrium Car Agency as a new-car salesperson on a commission basis. She was told by Atrium, her principal, that the sale of any new car must be approved by the owner of the agency. Russ did not follow these instructions and approved the sale of a new car on her own. The sale price was not acceptable to the principal. Russ tried to collect her commission on the sale, but the principal refused to pay. Could the principal deny Russ her commission?
