Michael Moore makes this point in " Sicko ," his widely debated documentary which spotlights the advanced system of health care in Cuba. In the aftermath of 9/11, many Ground Zero firefighters developed chronic lung problems. They could not afford the respiratory medications and inhalers needed to simply breathe, but in Cuba, and as " Sicko " dramatically reveals, firefighters were given the same medications for a fraction of the cost they would have paid in the United States.
