Anderson went to Monahan Beaches Jewelry Center to look for an engagement ring for his fiancée, Warren. The salesman discussed various attributes of rings to help define what might be pleasing to Warren. Anderson later bought a "diamond" ring and gave it to Warren on Christmas. Shortly thereafter, Warren noticed a chip in the stone and returned it to Monahan, which agreed to replace it with a stone of equal or greater value. Warren then took the ring to another store for appraisal, at which time she discovered the alleged diamond was really cut glass or cubic zirconia. Can Warren sue Monahan for breach of contract under Anderson and Monahan's contract?
