Reverend John Fisher is the pastor of St. James Episcopal Church in Ohio. Catherine Davis served there as parish secretary from 1978 until six months after Reverend Fisher arrived at St. James in January 1988. Reverend Fisher fired her after she went to the bishop of the diocese to complain about sexual harassment by Reverend Fisher. The bishop promised an investigation, which was not conducted because Reverend Fisher denied the allegations. Ms. Davis then brought suit against the Episcopal Diocese.
