In 1957 Carl Haskins moved 200 guppies from a river with high predator abundance to the predator-free upper headwaters of the Oropuche River in Trinidad. What predictions would you make for the guppies moved in this transplant experiment? How would you test experimentally whether the antipredator behaviors are under genetic control or under environmental control?
