The climograph in Figure shows the relationship between average moisture and temperature on the distribution of several life zones. Given the global concern over climate change and long-term climatic shifts, explain how a temperate rainforest might change if the average precipitation levels were cut in half.
Tundra life zones are found throughout much of the far north. They store a great deal of carbon in their soils, which remain frozen throughout most of the year. Examining the climograph in Figure , how would an average annual temperature increase of 5 degrees change these life zones?
