Explanation
Drug is the thing that acts on the certain organs and lowers the pain or the disease. Pharmacology as the name indicates it is the study of the medicines or the drug. It includes the administration of the drug, its action on a certain organ, their response and the amount of the drug to be administered for better results.
Drug prototype is the comparison of one drug with the other drugs in the same class. So it is difficult to remember all the names of the drug. To minimize that drugs have three basic names called the chemical, generic and trade names.
Generic names are easy to remember by the nurses and also by the students. These are given by the United States Adopted Name Council.
Trade name is also called the proprietary name or the band name. This name is easily remembered by the patients and common people.
Generic drugs and trade drugs are the same but differ in the inactive ingredients like preservatives and the flavoring agents added in the drug. Generic drugs also differ in the color, expiry date cost and labeling.
Generic drugs are somewhat similar to the trade drugs and are also safe up to some extent if the composition of both the drugs is same means they should be bioequivalent to the brand drugs. To obtain this they should follow the GMP like quality manufacturing, formula and ingredients.
