Because he is a happy-go-lucky child, his parents have assumed that it is Jonathon's right-brain dominance that has created trouble with left-brain logical work. With more homework now in second grade, Jonathon is struggling to keep up in school. The school nurse suspects he may have ADHD. She has recommended an appointment with Jonathon's health care provider and told his parents that Adderall may help Jonathon focus on his schoolwork.
