A certified nursing assistant takes a job assisting a special education teacher within a school district with a small class of severely mentally challenged students. The CNA has had experience working with mentally challenged individu­als, and will assist the teacher in keeping charges clean, feeding them, adjusting wheelchairs, and so on. A month into her employment, a student accidentally dislodges her urinary catheter, and the teacher asks the CNA to reinsert it. This duty is beyond the CNA's scope of practice. What should she do?
