Edwin, a restaurant manager, abused male and female employees alike. However, Edwin singled out female subordinates for especially cruel treatment that included frequent and repeated sexual jokes, crude comments about their bodies, and questions such as whether they "liked to be spanked." One of these female employees, Shelby, asked him to stop making sexual comments, but he persisted despite her visible distress. When Shelby resumed work after quitting due to Edwin's conduct, Edwin continued his behavior toward her. Shelby made several complaints to managers, one of whom advised her that she was overreacting. Though the restaurant onducted an investigation, neither Shelby nor Edwin was interviewed. No disciplinary action was taken. Resolve this case. Explain. See EEOC v. R R Ventures, d /b/a Taco Bell, 244 F.3d 334 (4th Cir. 2001).
