You were recently hired to be the assistant manager at Turn Back the Clock Sports, a sports memorabilia company based in Columbus, Ohio. Your company predominantly deals in historic baseball memorabilia, and due to your strong Internet presence, you have clients throughout the world. Every summer, you host a large memorabilia expo that attracts many of your largest customers to Columbus for the weekend.
This year, a group of three wealthy customers from Tokyo will be attending the expo. In addition to being great customers, these individuals are huge baseball fans and love to catch a couple of games any time they visit the United States. Your boss, the manager, suggests that the two of you treat them to a baseball game while they are in the United States. Since Columbus does not have a Major League baseball team, you will have to travel to see a game. Your boss recommends that the five of you attend a game in one of the three closest cities to Columbus with a major league team: Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Detroit.
Since you are not a very large company, your budget for entertaining customers is not large. Your boss asks you to research ticket prices at the various stadiums in the three cities (assume that all three baseball teams will be "in town" when your guests are here). In addition, he suggests that you research the cost of parking, concessions, and hotel stays for two nights in the three cities (hotels that you recommend should be within walking distance of the stadiums). You will also want to factor in transportation costs (rental car) to the three cities. Make your recommendation for a city in the form of a report to the manager. The report should include an estimate of the total trip cost to the three cities, as well as your recommendation for which city to visit.
