As a result, he often refers clients to a small group of other attorneys with whom he is familiar. Johnny's policy for referrals is to receive $30 per hour, beyond what the attorney normally charges. As a result, whenever an attorney accepts a referral from Johnny, that attorney increases his or her hourly rate by $30. Is this arrangement ethical?
