• Think about Romano Salvatore. If you could speak Italian, what would you ask him?
• Think about Rosanna and her child. One question that might spring immediately to your mind is, "What is a curandero?" How would you find out this information? Why do you think that the child is dressed more warmly than you would expect for the weather?
• Think about Mr. Chan and his family. How would you feel about so many of his family members coming with Mr. Chan to the clinic? Why do you think he is not looking at or speaking to you? How could you communicate with Mr. Chan? Would you assume that he does not speak your language? Explain your reasoning.
