Level one: mild, some difficulty with expressing and understanding emotions and social interactions. Single minded interests. Good general academic and language skills. Level two: moderate, impairments in language, may or may not be fully verbal, difficulty expressing thoughts and ideas, difficulty engaging in pretend play, stimming/stereotyped behaviors, academic delays. Level three: inability to initiate social interactions, little or no functional language, stimming/stereotyped behaviors, no shared interests with others, behavioral outbursts likely, no or little eye contact.
