How do you diagnose chorioamnionitis?
Clinical:
1. maternal temp of 38ºC (100.4ºF)
2. maternal or fetal tachycardia
3. uterine tenderness1ST EDITION
4. foul-smelling amniotic fluid
5. maternal leukocytosis (> 15K)
Exclude other sources of infection.
Histology confirms the dx of clinical chorio in only 62% of cases.
