The North had a larger population, more industrialization, and better transportation infrastructure than the South. This allowed them to mobilize more troops, produce more war materials, and maintain a blockade of Southern ports, which greatly hurt the South's economy. While the North did eventually receive some help from France and England, it was not a deciding factor in their victory. The idea of relying on Native American troops is also not accurate as they were actually more involved in the conflict on the Southern side.
