Once heated, the packs are removed, wrapped in 6-8 layers of dry terrycloth or a cover specially designed to use with the hot pack, then placed on the treatment area. More layers can added if the client is feeling too much warmth or layers can reduced if the client does not feel enough warmth. Remove the pack after 15-20 minutes.
